Caddick wins £25m Manchester college job

Caddick Construction has started pre-construction works for a £25m teaching facility on the Openshaw Campus of The Manchester College.

The further education college’s governing LTE Group awarded the project to Caddick.

Under the deal, it will build a sports and public services building on Ashton Old Road, incorporating a six court sports hall, healthcare suite and construction and motor vehicle learning facility.

The Manchester College is one of the largest further education colleges in the UK and the largest single provider of 16-19, adult and higher education in Greater Manchester.

Managing Director of Caddick Construction’s North West office, Ian Threadgold said the project, would open to the first students in September 2021.
