£400m Kirkstall Forge office scheme approved

Developer CEG has gained planning for the next major phase of its £400m Kirkstall Forge development in Leeds

The second phase is the biggest so far and will involve two office buildings totalling 200,000 sq ft.

Designed by Cooper Cromar architects, the two buildings sandwich a concealed multi-storey car park between them.

The client team includes services and fire engineer Hoare Lea and cost manager Gardiner & Theobald.

Builder Wates completed the first phase 110,000 sq ft office in 2018, it is understood Bowmer & Kirkland were one of the firms to be chasing phase two on the west side of the first offices at number one Kirkstall Forge

Ultimately, the Kirkstall Forge scheme is planned to become home to a thriving mixed-use community comprising of up to 1,500 new homes, 300,000 sq ft of offices and 100,000 sq ft of retail, leisure and community space.

The site connects to Leeds City Station in six minutes by rail and offers on-site cycle, car and scooter hire and electric vehicle charging.
