Grounds Person - Watford, Herfordshire Job Vacancy

Nationwide Landscape Recruitment is one of the UKs leading Horticulture & Landscaping Employment Agencies. Specialising in the supply of CSCS accredited Temporary Hard Landscapers, Soft Landscapers, Landscape Gardeners and Grounds Maintenance Landscapers to the Horticulture & Landscape sector.

Grounds Person wanted at a School in Watford, Hertfordshire. The job is to assist with the maintenance of sports fields and the schools grounds, working with a small team of gardeners. Duties will include maintaining playing fields (football pitches, hockey pitches, athletics and cricket), setting out and marking pitches, grass cutting, hedge trimming, boarder care, maintenance of boundary fencing and other general landscape maintenance duties.

Previous Grounds Person or Amenity Sports Turf care experience is  essential. Any qualifications in Sports and Amenity Turf Maintenance or Landscape Machinery (ride on mowers, brush cutters, leaf blowers) would be an advantage.

Applicants will be required a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check before commencing employment. Immediate starts are available.

Duration: Temporary to Permanent (12 weeks through agency with opportunity of permanent role).

Rate of pay: Circa £20,000 per annum

Working hours: 40 hours per week (with weekend overtime available)
